Effect Description:
The Day for Night filter is often used to create the appearance of night whilst shooting in the daytime (or dusk), when a night shoot is not logistically possible. The DN filter's lavender blue tint in combination with under-exposing the image slightly (this is often done in post) simulates the appearance of a moonlit night.
